School Customer Terms

These terms are intended for schools or educational organisations using EdiWay as a customer platform. This draft should be reviewed alongside your commercial agreement and data processing arrangements.

1. Parties

These School Customer Terms apply between EdiWay School Management and the school, trust, or educational organisation purchasing or using the EdiWay service.

2. Service Scope

The service may include school management, student and family workflows, home education tools, resources, assessments, communication features, payments, marketplace functions, support tooling, and selected add-on features.

3. Customer Responsibilities

The school is responsible for:

  • ensuring authorised use of the service;
  • managing staff access appropriately;
  • only using the platform for lawful and appropriate school purposes;
  • ensuring records entered by school users are appropriate and within authority;
  • reviewing AI outputs before relying on them;
  • Following safeguarding, privacy, and record-management obligations.

4. Access and Users

The school may create or manage access for owners, principals, staff, teachers, operational staff, parents, students, and invited professionals according to platform permissions and subscription scope.

5. Data Protection

The school and EdiWay must comply with applicable data protection law. A separate Data Processing Addendum should be used where required.

You must insert the final controller/processor wording and DPA references before publication or contracting.

6. Fees, Subscriptions, and Add-ons

Use of some service areas may depend on subscription level, add-on purchase, school activation, or payment status.

7. Marketplace and Payment Features

If the school uses payment or store functions, the school is responsible for using those tools lawfully, configuring them correctly, and handling fulfilment, school-specific policies, and any school-side payment obligations.

8. AI Features

If the school enables AI-supported features, the school remains responsible for how outputs are reviewed and used by its staff and related users.

9. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend service access for serious misuse, safeguarding concerns, security risks, legal reasons, or non-payment, subject to the main agreement and any mandatory legal requirements.

10. Liability and Service Limitations

This section should be aligned with your final commercial contract, support commitments, SLAs, and limitation of liability wording.
